摘 要:本文在对市场结构与产品质量进行理论分析的基础上,提出研究假设,并通过选取中国26个省、自治区和直辖市1997—2009年期间的面板数据作为样本,研究市场化程度对产品质量的影响。研究表明:从长期来看,市场化发展程度与产品质量之间存在长期稳定的关系;一地区市场化程度的提高将有助于提升产品质量水平;不过,市场化程度提高对于提高产品质量的边际贡献率存在区域差异,总体上西部地区(含东北地区)高于中部地区,中部地区高于东部地区。文章最后就如何建立有助于提升产品质量的长效机制提出了政策建议。Based on a theoretical analysis of the relationship between market structure and product quality development, hypothesis is proposed in this paper. Using 1997- 2009 provincial panel data, this paper has estimated the influence of the degree of market power on product quality development. The empirical research findings are as follows. Firstly, in the long run, there is a long-term and stable relationship between market power and product quality development; secondly, the improvement on market power will promote the product quality; thirdly, there are huge gaps between different areas in the marginal contribution of the degree of market power to the product quality, and on the whole, western region (including northeast region) is higher than the central region, the central region is higher than the eastern region. In the end, policy suggestions about how to establish long-term mechanism to promote product quality development are proposed.
