美国学者对中国“和平发展”战略的正面评价及其意义

摘　　要：近年来美国部分学者对中国"和平发展"战略作出了许多正面评价,在今后十几年内,中国虽然不断发展,但不可能对美国和世界构成威胁,中国实施此战略是有可能的;中国此战略的实施不仅对中国产生了积极影响,而且对亚太地区和全世界产生了积极影响。他们的这些评价有助于当今美国公众比较客观地看待近年中国的快速发展,有助于美国政府理性地制定对华政策,并推动美中关系继续向前发展,也有助于中国全面地看待美国的政治力量,正确地制定对美政策。当然,美国这些学者在正面评价中国此战略的过程中也存在一些不足之处。In recent years, some American scholars have made many positive comments on China's strategy of 'peaceful development' in the new stage of the new century. They point out that China will not pose a threat to America and the world though it will continue to grow in the next more than ten years, and it is possible for China to realize this strategy of 'peaceful development'. They also point out that this strategy has produced positive impacts on China, the Asian-pacific and the whole world. Their assessments can help current American public people treat the rapid development in Chinese more objectively, help American government make policies towards China rationally, and push Sino-America relationship forward. In addition, these assessments also help China treat American political forces comprehensively and make policies towards America correctly. Of course, these American scholars have some shortcomings in the course of their positive assessments on China's strategy. After studying this topic, we still further strengthen the confidence to follow the path of peaceful development and build the socialism with Chinese characteristics.
