摘　　要：链路管理协议(LMP)是GMPLS中的一项重要协议,用来简化下一代光网络设备的配置和管理。LMP可以应用在多种网络中进行控制通道维护、数据链路连接性验证、链路所有权关联、禁止下游报警、故障定位,从而达到保护/恢复的目的。本文描述了LMP协议在自动交换光网络(ASON)的应用中存在的主要问题和相应的解决方案。Link Management Protocol （I2viP） is an important protocol of GMPLS designed to ease the configuration and management of next-generation optical network devices. LMP will be used to maintain control channel connectivity, verify the physical connectivity of the data finks, correlate the link property information, suppress downstream alarms, and localize link failures for protection/restoration purposes in multiple kinds of networks.The paper describes the major problems and solutions about LMP applications in Auto Switch Optical Network （ASON） .
