摘　　要：达纳图书馆公共关系奖是专门为纪念美国图书馆协会的创立者和首任主席达纳而设立的。该奖项共有6个特点:持续颁布、评选要求规范且明确、提供多种评奖申请渠道、公布获奖者名单、资金预算有限、获奖内容丰富,其作用在于鼓励和推动图书馆及其馆员积极开展公共关系活动、拓展服务能力,以赢得政府和社会对公共图书馆的支持。John Cotton Dana Public Relations Award is set up specially for commemorating the founder and the first chief of American Library Association Dana. This award has six characteristics, such as issuing sostenuto, normative and clear selection requirements, providing many ways of applying for the award, declaring the winners＇ list, limiting budget and being abundant of the award content. It aims to encourage and promote libraries and librarians that actively carry out public relations activities and develop the service ability, in order to win the support of the government and society.
