摘　　要：本文运用文献分析法和个案研究法,分析了纽约新的城市定位及其对该州/市高等教育系统的影响和需求,以及由此引发的高等教育系统的改革及城市与大学互动关系的建构。研究表明,城市的发展定位与高等教育的发展息息相关,城市的发展定位需要高等教育提供知识、人才和技术支持,而高等教育的发展则需要立足于城市社会经济的发展水平和资源条件,二者相互依存。中国的城市化进程,也需要大学的深度参与和支持。Employing literature analysis and case study, this paper analyzes the new positioning of New York City, its impact on and requirements for the state and city higher education systems, and the consequent higher education system reform and construction of the city-university interaction. Studies have shown that the positioning of a city＇s development and the development of higher education are closely related and interdependent. The positioning of a city＇s development requires knowledge, talent and technical support from higher education, while the development of higher education depends upon the urban socio-economic and resource conditions. China＇s urbanization needs the active participation and strong support by universities.
