摘　　要：亚伯拉罕·弗莱克斯纳是美国著名高等教育批评家和改革家。他的《现代大学论——美英德大学研究》一书,形成了较为完整的对于大学科学研究的理论体系。他对什么是科学研究、无用知识的有用性、科学研究是大学的首要功能及大学研究所进行了论述,并对现代大学科研观进行了实践——创建普林斯顿高级研究院。他追求大学科学研究的自由探索与非功利性。时至今日,他的现代大学科研观对大学科学研究功能的健康发展依然具有十分重要的借鉴价值。Abraham Flexner is a famous book Universities. American English German, American higher education critics and reformers. His has formed a relatively complete theoretical system for scientific research. He expounded what is the scientific research, the usefulness of useless knowledge, and explained that scientific research is the primary function of the University. At the same time, he brought the concept of the modem university research into practice - to create the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He argued the freed exploration and non-utilitarian of university scientific research. His modem university research concept still has a very important reference value to the healthy development of the scientific research functions of the University.
