摘　　要：湖北省在新中国成立几十年来,水电建设取得了辉煌成就,2012年,全省水电装机达到35.952 79 GW。其中,2003年到2012年水电建设跨越式发展,令世人瞩目。全面介绍了湖北的水电建设状况及成就,尤其是近十年的发展历程,论述了湖北水电快速发展的成因,并阐明了湖北水电开发对社会的巨大贡献。Hydropower construction in Hubei Province has made brilliant achievement since the founding of New China.The leap-forward development from 2003 to 2012 has drawn the attention of the world.In 2012 the whole province＇s hydropower installed capacity reaches 35.952 79 GW.The situation and achievements of Hubei Province＇s hydropower construction,especially the development process in the past ten years are introduced comprehensively.The causes of its rapid development and its great contributions to society are described.
