摘　　要：平湖西瓜灯艺术是平湖特有的民间美术品类,是地方非物质文化遗产。西瓜灯艺术以平湖传统的西瓜产业为依托,历史悠久,其材料工具、制作工艺独树一帜,并借鉴和吸收了书法、绘画等多种表现形式和艺术风格,融会贯通,形成了独特的艺术魅力。西瓜灯艺术强劲的生命力来自深厚的文化土壤,体现了对自然的亲近、对物的投入和对人的情感。The art of watermelon lanterns in Pinghu is a kind of folk art that can only be found in Pinghu, and is one of the local intangible cultural heritage. Supported by the local traditional watermelon industry, wa- termelon lanterns in Pinghu has a long history, uniqueness in materials, manufacturing technology and tools, and particularly, it absorbed various forms and artistic styles from calligraphy and painting. These were digested and formed the unique artistic charm of the art of watermelon lanterns. The strong vitality of the art comes from the rich cultural soil, and reflects closeness to nature, input in object and emotions to person.
