摘　　要：我国即将加入世界贸易组织 (以下简称WTO) ,对此引起社会各界的广泛关注。加入WTO ,从整体上看 ,对我国社会经济发展既会带来机遇也会形成挑战 ,但机遇大于挑战。本文从我国加入WTO所具备的条件分析入手 ,全面地分析了WTO将为我国社会经济发展带来的机遇 ;同时指出 ,有挑战未必不是好事 ,有挑战就有压力 ,有压力才有动力。只要全国上下统一思想 ,认真做好应对准备 。China will join the World Trade Organization(WTO),to which all walks of life in society pay a wide attention.Viewing the situation as a whole,to join WTO is an opportunity as well as a challenge for social and economical development in our country,but opportunity is greater than challenge.In this paper,according to the conditions which China has for joining WTO,the author comprehensively analyses the opportunities which WTO will bring us for the society and econimics development,and points out that challenge may be a good thing for us,because there is challenge,and there are just pressure and motive powers.As long as the people in our country seek unity of thinking and prepare seriously,well have assurance of invincible position.
