摘　　要：1983年10月，爷爷在杭州开会时，在张堂恒、马森科先生陪同下去了杭州茶叶试验场和浙农大的潘板试验茶场。回到北京后，他对家人提起，六十年前，他在余杭长乐镇北村（属今天的径山镇）与方翰周先生办振华机器制茶厂的一段。爷爷一边赞口不绝地谈到茶场规模之宏大和机械制茶设备之全面，一边感叹“翰周要是活到今天，能同去我们一起办过茶厂的地方看看，他会多开心咧!”Hanzhou Fang （ 1902 - 1966） graduated from Anhui Tea Institute in 1920. He worked with Juenong Wu to establish a tea production farm in YuHang Zhejiang in 1924, where they manufactured tea with various types of machines. In 1927, he studied in Japan. Upon returning, he taught at Anhua Tea Institute in Hunan. In 1935, he successfully produced top grade Ning-hong tea in Xiushui Jiang-xi. In 1940, he established a Tea professional school in Wuyuan, Jiang-xi. He both chaired and participated in the development of standards for tea inspections, and worked on improving methods in tea processing. This article traces his life and his contributions to tea development and research in the 20th century.
