超越“象牙塔”:美国州立大学模式对应用型高等教育的启示

摘　　要：19世纪美国西进运动和《莫里尔法案》(Morril Act)催生的州立大学,将服务社会变成大学的基本职能,是大学走出"象牙塔"的标志。高等教育大众化"后发国家"都可以在办学模式、院校合并、师资队伍、课程设置等方面借鉴州立大学经验。州立大学的启示:政府是高等教育发展的主要推动力;为区域经济社会培养人才;开展应用科学研究。American Westward Movement in the 19th century and Morril Act, which gave rise to state universities, transferred serving society as their basic function and was the sign of universities out of ＂the tower of ivory＂. ＂Backward countries＂ of popularization of higher education can learn from state universities from the perspective of university system, university merger, teaching staff, and curriculum. Government is the main driving force of higher education development; universities cultivate talents for regional and economic society and launch applied scientific research.
