OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical data of the neonates with infections and premature rupture of membranes(PROM) as well as the distribution of pathogens.METHODS Forty cases of PROM with the positive result of cervical secretion germ culture and neonatal infections were selected as the study group, and sixty PROM cases matched for gestational age without neonatal infections as the control group. The etiological result and clinical data between the two groups were analyzed. The data of the two groups were compared.RESULTS Preterm delivery cases in the observation group increased significantly, accounting for 60.0%,while the preterm delivery cases in the control group accounted for 25.0%.The time from membrane rupture to delivery were significantly longer in the observation group than in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).In observation group, there were 9(22.5%) strains of gram-positive cocci and 13(32.5%) strains of gram-negative bacilli, which were isolated from the cervical secretions and the neonatal throat swab and were significantly more than other pathogens, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION It is necessary to pay attention to the detection of the pathogens so as to reduce the incidence of the infections in the neonates with PROM.
