摘　　要：地理事件是地理要素变化发生的记录与表达,因此利用地理事件可以发现发生变化的地理要素。通过对地理事件概念的分析,提出了地理事件的概念模型,对地理事件的类型进行了总结。在此基础上提出了一种通过地理事件发现那些已经发生或正在发生变化的地理要素的方法,给出了实现的具体流程,并通过实践证明该方法的可行性,最后对该方法存在的问题进行了总结与展望。As records and expressions of changes of geographic features, geographic events can be used to detect alterations of geographic features. By analyzing the definition of geographic events, the conceptual model of ge- ographic events was put forward, followed by a summary of geographic event types. Based on that, geographic events were suggested as a way of detecting geographic feature＇ s changes which were taking place or had taken place, the process of which was presented in detail. The feasibility of the method was tested through experi- ments and the related problems were also discussed.
