自传忏悔的文化背景和内在张力

摘　　要：在西方自传忏悔的兴起和发展过程中,基督教教义、基督教忏悔制度发挥了决定性的影响。对许多西方人而言,忏悔已成为一种基本的心理需求。自传忏悔是自传作者在一定的价值前提下,通过严格的自我审查对自我的真相所进行的揭示。在追求自我真相的过程中,自传忏悔内部形成了某种张力。自传者特定的价值准则决定了其"自我审查"的真实性限度,追求真实性的"自我审查"的冲动也冲击着特定的"价值准则"。正是在这一张力下,自传忏悔推动了人类自我认识的扩展。自传忏悔代表自传者追求自我真相的真诚努力,有助于人类的自我完善和自我提升。The doctrines of Christianity and the evolution of confessional system of Christianity have deeply influenced the rising and developing of Western autobiographical confession. Confession has become a basic psychological demand of many Westerners. The autobiographical confession refers to the autobiographer revea- ling the truth of self through strict introspection on the premise of certain values. In the process of pursuing the truth of self, there are some tensions in the autobiographical confession itself, i.e. the special values of the autobiographer set a limit to the truth of the ＂self introspection＂, whereas the compulsion to search for the truth in ＂self introspection＂ also challenges ＂the special values＂. It is the tensions of the autobiographical confession that push ahead the continuous expanding of the self-knowledge of the human beings. The autobio- graphical confession stands for the sincere effort that the autobiographers can put in questing for the truth of self, which helps to the self-improvement of the human beings.
