摘　　要：新城市化是城市化发展的高级阶段。本文认为美国新城市化发展阶段的主导趋势是大都市区化,但大都市区发展中由于地域蔓延和行政分割带来种种区域性矛盾。美国通过多维度地方治理有效地改善了大都市区发展中的问题。其做法和经验对中国新城市化阶段中的大都市区发展与治理具有重要的启示作用。New urbanization is an advanced stage of urbanization.This thesis argues that the dominant trend of the stage of new urbanization in the U.S.is metropolization.Various regional conflicts occurred during the development of metropolitan area due to the geographical spread and the administrative division.The United States effectively improved the problems through multi-dimensional local governance.Its practices and experience have important implications for China’s metropolitan development and governance during the new urbanization stage.
