摘  要:库兹的自我堕落是库兹在所处的社会历史背景中,即在这片令人哀痛的黑暗和令人生畏的巨大寂寞中自我控制丧失的结果。从弗洛伊德的人格结构理论分析库兹这一人物的自我堕落过程包括他自私贪婪的本我、扭曲破碎的自我和高尚无私的超我如何在这黑大陆上造就了一个堕落的库兹。他一心想给黑野蛮人强加文明,却对他们疯狂、残忍地剥削,权利和占有欲不断膨胀,成了自我堕落的理想主义者,而认识到自己的野蛮行径,为时已晚。库兹的自我堕落是人类堕落和人性弱点的一个缩影。Kurtz's self-depravity is the result of loss of self-control in this special social and historical back- ground, that is, in this daunting darkness and frightening loneliness. The process of Kurtz's self-de- pravity is analyzed in terms of the theory of Freud's Personality Structure, with the aim of exploring how his selfish greedy id, his twisted broken ego and his noble selfless superego contribute to a fallen Kurtz in this dark continent. He wants to impose civilization on black barbarians, but what he brings is crazy, bloody exploitation. With unceasing inflation of power and desire to monopolize, he becomes a selbfallen idealist. And when he realizes his barbaric behavior, it is too late. Kurtz's self-depravity is just an epitome of the degeneration of mankind and human weaknesses.
