摘　　要：市场经济在本质上是信用经济和诚信经济。社会诚信的维护是政府的职责之一。我国政府的社会诚信维护职责不足,主要表现在社会诚信维护意识淡薄、社会诚信事件处理能力不足、社会诚信维护法律体系缺失三个方面,从而为市场经济环境带来诸多不良影响。我国政府应以社会诚信维护作为政府职能转变的一项重要目标。The market economy is essentially based on credit and integrity.To maintain the social integrity is one of the responsibilities of the government.However our government is insufficiently responsible for the maintenance with its poor awareness,incompetence in handling the integrity issues and the lack of relevant legal system,which brings many adverse effects on the market economic environment.Therefore the government should regard social integrity maintenance as an important objective of government functional transformation.
