Total export value was about 1.33 billion dollars, down 62.5% over 2011. Total 24,205 tons of rare earth permanent magnets valued 2.3 billion dollars were exported in 2012, down 19.9% and 20.7% respectively over the previous year. About 690.2 million units of nickel-metal hydride batteries were exported in 2012, valued 651.5 million dollars, down 17.5% and 8.8% respectively over 2011.
