严复《国闻汇编》及其天演论传播

摘　　要：目的从科技期刊传播的视角出发,旨在厘清《国闻汇编》与天演论传播的关系,为深入研究生物进化论在华传播史提供新线索。方法采用原始期刊文献分析和考证法。结果对清光绪二十三年(1897)创刊于天津的《国闻汇编》及其传播策略、传播内容作了初步的历史考察。该刊首次部分连载了严复的《天演论》一书,提出"优胜劣败,适者生存",为随后生物进化论在中国暴发式传播起到了重要的催酶作用。结论《国闻汇编》引进了西方的进化论学说,为维新变法运动提供了理论根据,而成为研究进化论在华传播不可或缺的重要期刊。严复将达尔文的生物进化论与中国晚清社会形态相结合,并异化为社会进化论,是造成空前影响最主要的原因。Aim Through the view of sci-tech periodicals communication, to clarify the relationship between The Light Seekers and the spread of Theory of evolution, to provide new clues to study the communication of the history of biological evolutionism in China. Methods Literature analyzing and researching. Results A preliminary study on the history in terms of its communication strategy and contents of the magazine The Light Seekers was carried on, which was established in 1897 in Tianjin. The magazine serialized part of the YaM Fu＇s ＂Evolution and Ethics＂ for the first time, which proposed the idea of ＂survival of the fittest＂, played an important enzyme role for the outbreak of biological evolution in China. Conclusion The Light Seekers introduced western evolution theory, which provid- ed a theoretical basis for the Reform Movement, and became the indispensable journal to study the spread of the theory of evolution in China. YaM Fu exerted the communication strategy by combining Darwin＇s theory of biological evolution with the social forms in the late Qing Dynasty of China, and alienated it into the social Darwinism, which was the most important reason to cause unprecedented impact.
