摘　　要：图书馆社会责任不仅指图书馆要对其决策或活动在社会中产生的影响负责,同时,还要在完成其自身社会职能和目标的基础上,关注和帮助解决一些非图书馆内部事务的社会问题。通过对3所公共图书馆开展社会责任相关活动的新闻进行调查、分析,对我国公共图书馆承担社会责任问题进行了思考并提出建议。The social responsibility of the library refers to that the library should be responsible for not only its decision or its activities＇ influence in the society, but also paying close attention to and help to solve some social problems that aren＇ t library＇ s internal affairs on the basis of finishing its own social functions and goals. This paper makes the considerations about public library＇s social responsibility through the investigation and analysis on the news of three public libraries＇ activities related to the social responsibility, and puts forward some suggestions.
