摘　　要：计算机已给继电保护领域带来重大变革 ,也使人们对继电保护设备寄予了更大的期望。从电网生产运行角度出发 ,对运行、维护、厂站自动化、生产改造等诸方面对微机保护能实现的功能做了有益的探讨。Computer or microprocessor has brought great achievements in relaying protection field. Therefore, more expectations are given to the relay protection equipment. In this paper, the functions of the microprocessor based protection to the operation, maintenance, plant or station automation and production innovation are discussed based on the power network operation.
