摘　　要：瞿林东著《史学在社会中的位置》一书探讨了一个事关历史学安身立命的根本问题:史学在社会中处于什么位置?该书梳理了中国古代史学中的相关认识,总结了20世纪中国历史学的发展道路,阐述了21世纪中国历史学主流形态的发展趋势,以及如何体现中国当代史学的民族特征和世界特色等内容。它不仅对于了解中国当代史学具有参考价值,而且还在一定程度上深化了史学理论的自我认识,是对当代史学理论建设的一大贡献,标志着中国当代史学理论已经具备了鲜明的自觉意识和深沉的入世品格。Qu Lindong＇s new book The Social Position of Historiography raises an essential question： what position is history in the society？ The hook reviews relevant understanding of Chinese ancient historiography, sums up the development path of the 20th century, expounded the development trend of the historical mainstream in the 21st century, and embodiment of the national and world characteristics. The book has reference value for understanding the Chinese contemporary historiography, and to some extent, deepens the recognition of historical theories. It contributes greatly to the contemporary historical theories and signifies the Chinese contemporary historiography with clear conscientiousness and profound social nature.
