摘　　要：翟氏是归义军节度使曹元忠的唯一夫人。她不仅崇信佛教,而且积极推崇佛事,主要表现在三个方面:积极协助归义军节度使曹元忠在莫高窟和榆林窟开窟造像,还重修了北大像;身体力行地参与各种佛事活动;经常组织和带动家人及姻亲妇女从事施舍、供养之事。正是翟氏夫人对佛教的热忱和参与佛事活动的表率作用,极大地推动了敦煌的佛教文化事业。她是继回鹘天公主之后又一位活跃在敦煌政治文化舞台上的杰出女性。Lady Zhai is the only wife of Cao Yuanzhong, governor of the Return-to-Allegiance Army. She not only believed in Buddhism, but also took part in many Buddhist activities, which was mainly reflected in three aspects： First, she helped her husband to construct caves at the Mao Grottoes and Yulin Grottoes at Dunhuang, including the reconstruction of Cave 96; Second, she attended many Buddhist activities; Third, she often led the women giving offerings to monks. Her enthusiasm for Buddhism and her leading role in Buddhist activities had greatly promoted Buddhist culture at Dunhuang. She was another outstanding woman active on the political and cultural stage at Dunhuang after the Uighur Heavenly Princess.
