摘　　要：虚拟现实技术是一种融合了计算机图形技术、多媒体技术和仿真技术等多种技术的综合集成技术,虚拟校园是虚拟现实技术在现代教育中的具体应用。阐述了虚拟现实技术的基本内涵、基本特征和关键技术等,详细综述了虚拟现实技术在虚拟校园中的应用及国内外研究进展,并给出在该应用领域进一步研究的建议。The virtual reality technology is a kind of integration technique fusing computer graphics technology,multimedia technology and simulation technology,etc.virtual campus is the concrete application of virtual reality technology in modern education.The basic connotation,characters and the key technology of virtual reality technology were elaborated,furthermore,a detailed discussion was given on the application of the virtual reality in virtual campus,meanwhile,the research development at home and abroad was reviewed and some suggestions of further research in this field were put forward.
