摘　　要：在西方新文化史的冲击下,中国社会史研究已经走到一个必须深刻反思的年代。西方新文化史是对以年鉴史学为中心的社会史的反动,中国的新文化史,即所谓新史学、社会文化史等与社会史学科却并非全然对立,而是一种良性互动。社会史研究在当下的中国,仍然有很大的发展空间,中国史学要实现跨越式发展,超越甚至引领世界学术潮流不可能一蹴而就。中国的历史学尤其是社会史,要走出一条独具特色的发展道路。"不固步自封,不人云亦云,不无动于衷"是处理社会史与新文化史关系的基本原则。Under the impact of the new cultural history in the west, China’s social history research has a long way to go to surpass and even lead the research in the world academic circle in this field. The basic principle for dealing with social history and new cultural history should be—not to rest on the past laurels, not to repeat other’s ideas and not to be aloof and indifferent.
