摘　　要：阿拉伯数字是国际上通用的数字符号,具有精确的理性意义,但在其赖以生存和发展的汉语语言文化语境的影响和制约下,却被赋予了丰富的文化内涵。阿拉伯数字或由阿拉伯数字组成的词具有谐音表义功能和隐喻象征功能,在网络、媒体及日常言语交际中出现了许多创造性的变异用法。阿拉伯数字的符号功能正大逐渐扩大,在一定程度上更新、拓展了现代汉语语言体系的表现手段。Arabic numerals are common international number signs showing rational meanings, but are embedded with rich cultural implications in the context of the Chinese language. Their onomatopoeic and metaphorical functions, popular on the Internet, in media and in daily living, have given rise to their creative and deviant usages. It is argued that such sign functions somehow refine and extend the expression means of the modern Chinese linguis- tic system.
