摘　　要：生态环境是旅游经济可持续发展的客观基础,西南地区是我国旅游资源最为富集的区域之一,旅游经济正成为这些地区经济发展的新增长点,如何实现旅游经济与生态环境协调发展是西南各省区促进经济发展方式转变的重要内容。通过运用矢量模法对西南地区旅游生态环境承载力进行评价时发现,西南各省区旅游承载力呈现出完全不同的态势,总体堪忧,需要通过示范带动、规划引领、制度建设、技术创新和观念培育来实现区域旅游经济的可持续发展。The eco-environment is an important foundation for the sustainable development of tourism while southwest China which ranks among the best regions in terms of tourism resources in China has seen a new growth of tourism economy. The coordinated development between tourism e- conomy and ecological environment is a key to the changes of the models of economic development. This research based on the vector method has found that the carrying capacity of tourism eco-environ- ment in southwest China varies from one province to another and it is no good on the whole. Thus, it is necessary to establish some useful models and systems, work out some good plans, and encourage technological innovation and new ideas for a sustainable development of tourism.
