摘　　要：美国芝加哥大学图书馆以总论和各学科馆藏发展政策细则为主体制定了馆藏发展政策。其总论是对馆藏级别、采选流程、馆藏文献类型、捐赠和馆藏保存政策等方面的总体规定;细则主要是各学科根据自身特点对总论规定的细化。我国图书馆界从芝加哥大学图书馆的实践经验中可获得如下启示:重视馆藏发展政策的理论研究与实践,明确馆藏发展组织的职责,强化行业协会的指导作用。The University of Chicago Library has formulated the collection development policy by taking the pandect and collection development policy details of all subjects as the main body. The pandect was the general provision of collection levels, the selecting process, types of the library collection, donations and collections, and so on; details were the refinement of pandect provisions that all subjects carried on according to their own characteristics. The library field in China could obtain the following enlightenment from the practice experience of The University of Chicago Library： paying attention to theoretical reseamhas and the practice of the collection development policy, making the duty of collection development organizations clear, strengthening the guidance function of industry associations.
