摘　　要：恩斯特·迈尔是20世纪著名的生物学家,也是罕有的一位对生物学及其相关领域有着深入而全面了解的科学思想大师。他曾在鸟类学、系统分类学、进化生物学以及生物学史学和生物学哲学等许多方面做出巨大贡献,包括发现诸多新物种以及提出生物学物种概念;并在1930-1940年代的进化论综合进程中担任主要设计者,从而为促进当代生物学及其哲学的发展起到了重要的作用。Ernst Mayr is one of the 20th century’s leading evolutionary biologists. He is also a remarkable thinker in both biology and relevant fields with great contributions to ornithology, systematics, evolutionary biology, history of biology and philosophy of biology, including the discovery of many new species and the development of biological species concept. He also contributed a great deal to modern evolutionary synthesis as a major constructor during the 1930s-1940s. In this way, Mayr plays an important role in promoting the development of modern biology and its philosophy.
