摘　　要：以评价理论为依据,采用语料库方法,对20世纪以来所有美国总统就职演说在人称、态度和情态方面进行检索和统计,并将结果与对照库结果相对比,说明美国总统就职演说在传达人际意义方面的语言表达特征,即在人称、态度以及情态方面以相对含蓄平和的方式体现了平等的、肯定的以及赞许的人际意义。American presidential inaugural addresses are all deliberate in writhing and they convey similar interpersonal significance. Based on Appraisal System,this essay studies inaugural addresses from the aspects of grammatical person,attitude and modality with corpus-based method. Then it compares the statistics with normal political addresses and manages to find out the linguistic features of inaugural addresses on interpersonal significance,which is to deliver an equal,affirmative and favorable relationship with some implicit and placid pattern in the three aspects.
