摘　　要：美国OCLC公司是世界最大的文献信息服务机构之一，其所提供的80个数据库内容覆盖社会科学、自然科学各学科领域，且一半有原文。Firstsearch便是基于1991年在因特网上推出的大型检索系统，深受用户欢迎。本文就该检索系统及其使用方法，做较为系统的介绍。American OCLC company is one of the worlds biggest constitutions of document information service and contents of eighty databases offered by the company cover every subject area from social sciences to natural science, furthermore, half of them have the original. Firstsearch is the large-scale retrieval system for these eighty databases brought out by OCLC company on Internet in 1991, and it becomes popular among the users. This article gives more systernatic and specific introduction to this system and its usage.
