摘　　要：细读《欲望号街车》可以发现,布兰琪逃离家乡小镇劳雷尔到新奥尔良的妹妹家,再到后来离开妹妹的家而走进疯人院,这实际上是她重建丧失的南方淑女身份的一次失败的旅程。斯坦利和布兰琪之间的冲突无疑是布兰琪身份重建失败的直接原因,布兰琪在伦理身份重建过程中所采取的手段及所重建的伦理身份与所处的伦理环境的错位则是一个深层的原因。Reading A Streetcar Named Desire closely, one can find that the process of Blanche＇s escaping from hometown Laurel to her sister＇s home in New Orleans, and then to the lunatic asylum, is actually an unsuccessful attempt to rebuild her lost identity as a southern belie. The conflict between Stanley and Blanche is undoubtedly a direct cause for the failure. Nevertheless, the underlying cause is the discrepancy among the ethical identity Blanche rebuilds and the ways she takes, and the ethic situation in which she tries to rebuild her identity.
