摘　　要：数据元是数据的基本单元。以最新的国际和国家标准为参考,阐述了数据元的组成与基本模型,分析了数据元的基本概念及其与元数据的区别。定义并描述了数据元的全局视图。最后介绍了数据元标准化在国际和国内的进展和应用情况,为各领域标准数据元的建立提供参考。Data element is a basic unit of data. The constitution and the basic model of data element are demonstrated by referring to the international and national standards. Basic concepts of the data element, and differences between the data element and the metadata are analyzed. The global view of data element is defined and described. Finally, the international and domestic research progress and application status of data element standardization are summarized, thus providing a reference for data element construction in all fields.
