试论宗教与科学的关系及宗教的科学功能

摘　　要：正确认识和处理宗教与科学的关系是一个事关人类历史未来进程的大问题。针对人们对宗教与科学关系的种种误解,本文在反思人类科学史,特别是在反思近现代科学史的基础上,力求对宗教与科学的关系及宗教的科学功能作出动态的和辩证的说明。强调在人类历史上宗教与科学既存在有差异和对立的一面,也存在有互存、互补和互动的一面;宗教不仅催生了现代科学,而且作为科学的维他命和荷尔蒙,在推进现代科学的发展方面也发挥了重大作用。在讨论宗教的科学功能时,我们应当努力避免片面性,既要看到宗教的正功能,也要看到宗教的负功能,既要看到宗教的显功能,也要看到宗教潜功能。It is a big question concerning the future process of human history to deal with the relation be-tween religion and science correctly. Against people＇ s misunderstandings of the relation, in this paper, we in- tend to make a dynamic and dialectic explanation of the relation and the scientific functions of religion on the basic of reflections of the scientific history, especially of the modem scientific history. We will emphasize that there are two sides between religion and science in the history, one is about their differences and oppositions, the other is about their interdependency, inter - supplement and inter - promotion. Religion not only assists the birth of the modem science, but also plays an important role of its development as the vitamin and hormone of science. Discussing the question of the scientific functions, we should try to avoid one - sidedness, paying attention both to the positive functions of religion and to the negative functions of religion, both to the apparent functions and to the latent functions.
