摘　　要：Decategorization,as an important part of categorization,is the outcome of the ever-lasting change in human's cognition.Meanwhile,English for Science and Technology has undergone a long process of development,during which,it has evolved in style,vocabulary and linguistic rules.As the phenomenon of decategorization is prevalent in EST,especially in the verb category,this paper will choose a very word "considering" for a corpus-based pilot study on the decategorization of verbs in EST.Decategorization,as an important part of categorization,is the outcome of the ever-lasting change in human＇s cognition.Meanwhile,English for Science and Technology has undergone a long process of development,during which,it has evolved in style,vocabulary and linguistic rules.As the phenomenon of decategorization is prevalent in EST,especially in the verb category,this paper will choose a very word ＂considering＂ for a corpus-based pilot study on the decategorization of verbs in EST.
