Objective To observe the expression of WntSa, Frizzled2 and cyclic GMP-dependent protein kinase in lesions of psoriasis vulgaris and normal skins. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect expression of WntSa, Frizzled2 and cyclic GMP-dependent protein kinase in normal tissues and psoriatic lesions. Results The positive expression rate of WntSa and Frizzled2 in psoriatic lesions were significantly higher than that in normal skins(P 〈0.05 ). However, the positive expression rate of cyclic GMP-dependent protein kinase expression in psoriatic lesions were significantly lower than that in normal skins (P 〈 0.05 ). The expression of cyclic GMP-dependent protein kinase was negatively correlated with the expression of WntSa and Frizzled2 in psoriatic lesions(P 〈 0. 05). Conclusion WntSa and it's related receptors Frizzled2 might be correlated to the pathogenesis of psoriasis. The reduced expression of downstream factor cyclic GMP-dependent protein kinase probably caused the abnormal proliferation and apoptosis of keratinocytes, leading to occurrence of psoriasis vulgaris.
