Objective. To discuss the clinical significance through the application of color doppler flow imaging (CDFI) to monitoring the changes of the blood flow parameters of the uterine spiral artery (USA) and serum CA125 in women with threatened abortions. Methods. The early normal pregnant women detected with CDFI were selected as Group A (50 cases), Group B (50 cases) was for the threatened abortion women but succeeded in maintaining pregnancy, while Group C (50 cases) was for the threatened abortion women but failed in maintaining pregnancy. The the blood flow pa- rameters of USA and serum CA125 of the subjects in three groups were analyzed. Results: Com- pared Group C with Group A and B, there were significant differences in the blood flow parameters of USA and serum CA125 (P〈0. 05) ; RI and CA125 increased obviously, while PSV and EDV decreased remarkably (P〈0.05). The specificity and diagnostic index were higher in predicting pregnant outcomes by application of RI larger than 0.56 combined with serum CA125〉80 U/L than by applying only RI〉0. 56 larger than or only applying serum CA125-80 U/L. Conclusion: The combined applications of hemodynamics parameters of USA and serum CA125 have important values in predicting pregnant outcomes of threatened abortion.
