摘　　要：1960年代,响应党和政府的号召,上海知识青年积极参加新疆的垦荒支边建设。上海知识青年在新疆的支援建设工作不仅极大地推动了新疆各项事业的发展,其自身也得到了很好的锻炼和成长。上海知识青年支援新疆垦荒支边的历史对于当今青年成长成才路向的选择方面也具有较大的启发价值。In the 1960s,answering the call of the Chinese Communist Party and the central government, the Shanghai educated youth took an active part in the wasteland-reclaiming and frontier-assisting move- ment in the construction of Xinjiang. Thanks to the Shanghai educated youth,various fields in Xinjiang were greatly improved and in the mean time, the educated youth themselves gained a lot of exercises and became more mature. The history of the Shanghai educated youth＇s wasteland-reclaiming and frontier-as- sisting in Xinjiang inspires today＇s youth in their growth and future accomplishment.
