摘　　要：墓俑作为我国古代社会丧葬礼仪中的一种典型存在，功能性是其产生的决定性因素。它作为明器中的主要组成部分之一，被赋予了重要的功能价值。正是这种独一无二的功能，促成了墓俑的发展。汉代时期是墓俑发展的蓬勃时期，这一方面取决于汉代丧葬观念和习俗的催生；另一方面则在于汉代墓俑在丧葬中所具有的功能的重要性。这种重要性决定和促成了墓俑的蓬勃发展。事物的功能性往往会对事物的造型产生重要的影响，Tomb figurines as a typical existence in funeral rites of Chinese ancient society, and the main component of funerary objects, have been given an important functional value, its functionality is the decisive factor for its produce. Han Dynasty is the vigorous development period of tomb figurines, this article systemati- cally analyze and explain the Han tomb figurines＇ specific function ,its importance, and the influence of its functionality to its modeling characteristics and style when take Han tomb figurines as an art form.
