摘  要:Ar-Ar total fusion and step heating methods have been used to determination the isotopic ages of the volcanic rocks from George King Island ,west Antarctica .Argon isotopes of the seven volcanic rock samples are measured in the modified RGA10mass spectrometer, operated in static mode .Some useful Ar-Ar plateau ages , isochrone ages and the initial 40Ar/36Ar ratios of these samples are given and their geological implications are discussed in this paper .Ar-Ar total fusion and step heating methods have been used to determination the isotopic ages of the volcanic rocks from George King Island ,west Antarctica .Argon isotopes of the seven volcanic rock samples are measured in the modified RGA10mass spectrometer, operated in static mode .Some useful Ar-Ar plateau ages , isochrone ages and the initial 40Ar/36Ar ratios of these samples are given and their geological implications are discussed in this paper .
