“后张謇时代”的南通社会救助事业——从民国南通档案考察

摘　　要：通过对民国南通档案的研究发现,后张謇时代的南通社会救助事业发生了由巨绅主导型向善会与善堂主导型的转变。其实,后者是民国时期政局动荡背景下地方社会救助事业的一般形态。这一转变表明:此前的巨绅介入并没有根本上改变地方慈善文化,而随着巨绅影响力的衰减,使善会与善堂在社会救助中占据上风。Abstract： The study of Nantong files during the Republic in Nantong in the post - Zhang Jian era had changed from of China reveals that the social assistance business giant gentry - led model to charitable institutions - led modek In fact, the latter is normal in the turbulent period. It shows that the previous giant gentry＇s in- tervention did not fundamentally change the local charity Culture, while more traditional charitable institu- tions gained the upper hand with the decay of the giant gentry＇s influence.
