经典阅读意味着什么?

摘　　要：我国大学开展经典阅读活动还是一个新趋势,但它经常会面临这样的质疑:为什么要开展经典阅读运动?经典阅读究竟有什么价值?它对什么人最为适合?怎样进行经典阅读才有效?什么时间开始比较适宜?通过对经典阅读的历史考察和现实分析,笔者发现:开展经典阅读对于矫正人们的急功近利心态具有现实意义,因为它对人的精神品质提升具有直接的作用,并能够满足人们对人生意义求索的愿望;同时,团队学习是经典阅读的非常有效的方法,而且大学期间是开展经典阅读的最有利时机。The reading of great books has become a new trend in Chinese universities. Four questions concerned need to be answered clearly： What is the value of great book reading？ Who are suitable for great book reading？ What is the most effective approach to great book reading？ When is the best time for great book reading？ Based on both historical and realist analysis, the author argues that great book reading is conducive to college students＂ spiritual improvement by helping them search for the meaning of life, that group study is a good way of great book reading, and that college is the best time to read great books.
