摘　　要：从大学的学术机构属性及管理制度需求出发,"教授治校"应成为中国大学的价值选择和制度安排。西方大学史上"教授治校"理念与管理模式的长期延续和中国大学"教授治校"的本土案例,均表明这一大学理念与制度安排具有强大的生命力,而这种生命力恰恰源于该制度的价值合法性与现实可行性。积极尝试"教授治校"的制度方案,对中国大学行政化弊病的革除和现代大学制度建设的推进而言应当大有裨益。Considering the nature of the university as an academic institution and the require- ments of its management systems, faculty＇s governing should be considered as the right value choice and the institutional arrangement for Chinese universities. The long history of the idea and practice of western universities, along with the local cases in Chinese universities, suggest that the idea of faculty governing school affairs and corresponding management mode in universities have powerful vitality, coming from its legitimacy and feasibility. Active attempts to apply this management system will help push not only construction in modern Chinese universities. the de-administration process but also the system
