摘　　要：马蒂尔德是莫泊桑《项链》中的女主人公。在传统的理解中,大都认为马蒂尔德爱慕虚荣,此种理解有其合理之处,也带有一定的片面性。对马蒂尔德的人生理想及追求应结合法国当时的社会背景、法国人的爱情观、婚姻制度中的妇女地位以及人的本性进行分析,探求其对当代女性的人生追求以及爱情、婚姻、家庭观产生的现实意义。Mathilde is the heroine in Necklace by, Guy De Maupassant. There is some rationality but a not whole understanding of her vanity in the traditional view for most of the readers or critics. It is necessary for us to have a deep appreciation of this novel, to explore the contemporary meaning which exerts great influence on contemporary women＇ s value on love, marriage, family in the way of combining protagonist＇ s life ideal, her pursuit with the social background, French＇ s value on love, women＇ s social status at the time as well as the nature of human beings.
