摘  要:Critical technical breakthroughs were made recently on the development of large flexible solar panels,which will be used in China's space station to convert solar energy into electricity.The new flexible solar panel will provide an efficient electric supply for theCritical technical breakthroughs were made recently on the development of large flexible solar panels, which will be used in China's space station to convert solar energy into electricity. The new flexible solar panel will provide an efficient electric supply Ibr the operation of the space station, which features high power consumption and complicated size constrains. Traditional rigid and semi-rigid solar panels are hard to be folded within the envelope size and that's why flexible solar panels of new mechanical structure become necessary. At the same time, the solar panels of the space station will be tblded or unfolded tbr orbital repair if hit by space debris.
