摘　　要：约瑟夫·康拉德在《艾米·福斯特》中从一个医生的视角叙述了外乡人扬柯.拉古尔因海难流落到英格兰的偏僻临海小镇后的悲惨命运,揭示了现代社会中人性异化以及伦理道德缺失才是异质文化交际产生冲突的社会根源,批判了当时盛行于欧洲的西方中心主义对跨文化交际的危害。Joseph Conrad describes the tragic fate of the stranger Yanko Goorall in his Amy Foster from the perspective of a doctor, who came to the remote coastal town of England after shipwreck, revealing that alienation of human nature and the lack of ethics in modern society are the social root of conflict between different cultures in the intercultural communication, and criticizing the hazards of the West-centrism in the intercultural communication that is prevalent in Europe at that time.
