摘  要:来华留学生工程教育对中国建设教育强国和世界一流高等教育具有重要战略意义,但其面临培养目标、教学体系与教学方法、教学条件、教学队伍及管理等方面的挑战。华中科技大学电子与信息工程系经过七年的实践探索,在目标定位、队伍建设、教学方法、环境构建等方面均积累了很好的经验,取得了较为明显的成效。发展留学生工程教育可以考虑在几个核心要素方面开展工作:确立好目标,提升本土师资,根据留学生特点改进教学方法和教学环境等。Engineering education for international students in China has strategic significance for China to become an education power which embraces world-class higher education. It, however, is faced with challenges in training objective and teaching system, teaching methods and teaching conditions, teach- ing teams and its management, etc. After seven years of practice, electronic and information engineer- ing of Huazhong University of Science and Technology has achieved fruitful results and has accumula- ted cherished experience in targeting and the building of teams, teaching methods and the building of environment and so on. In order to develop education of engineering for international students coming to China, the following core elements shall be considered, setting a good goal, enhancing the quality of local teachers, and improving teaching methods and teaching surroundings based on characteristics of overseas students and so on.
