摘　　要：基于长期在北方地区从事建筑创作的体认,以内蒙古地区为例,从一个建筑师的视角解读北方建筑创作的背景,认为:北方的气候、经济、文化及建筑传统等对建筑师而言具有特殊的意义:气候是一种创作体裁;经济是一种创作挑战;文化表现为创作提供素材;建筑传统转化为一种情感观照。结合个人实践,说明在不同层面创作时,建筑师可采取的态度和策略。Based on long-term experiences of architectural design in northern China,this article interprets the design background from the architects＇ view through the study of the Inner Mongolia region.It maintains that the climate,economy,culture and architectural traditions,etc.in northern China are often of special significance for architects.First,its unique climatic condition is a kind of genre of architectural design.Second,its economic situation provides challenges to architectural design.Third,its culture manifests itself as sensibility and tolerance in architectural design.Finally,its architectural tradition often becomes the source of wisdom and emotion in architectural design.With personal practices,the article shows possible attitudes and strategies in different design conditions.
