摘　　要：女性风景园林师的出现是19世纪和20世纪美国风景园林专业发展的一个突出现象,她们打破了由男性风景园林师一统设计领域的局面。艾伦·比德尔·希普曼(1869—1950)是当时女性风景园林师的杰出代表人物之一。将希普曼的最后一个设计项目置于历史背景中进行研究,以期揭示希普曼在设计方面细腻丰富的感性思维;同时她视风景园林为艺术,所具有的独特的艺术表现力;除此以外,她在沟通方面十分富于技巧,容易和别人沟通和相处,成为卓越的项目协调者。目前,中国风景园林的专业人员中,女性所占比例越来越大。对20世纪美国杰出女性风景园林师的解析对我国女性风景园林师的发展具有一定的启发意义。In the development of American landscape architecture from the 19^th century to the 20^th century, a prominent phenomenon is the emergence of female landscape architect, and they broke through the man-dominated landscape architecture design situation. Ellen Biddle Shipman （1869-1950） was one of the outstanding representatives of the female landscape architects. This paper placed Shipman＇s final design project in a historical context to examine Shipman＇s design approach and aesthetic taste, as well as how to deal with the relationship between designers and customers, art in the landscape design of the importance of the issue. At present, the Chinese landscape design professionals, the proportion of females is increasing. The analysis of eminent female landscape architects of the United States in the 20^th century helps enlighten the development of Chinese female landscape architects.
