摘　　要：河北北部坝上与坝下白桦林比较 ,无论是林分的树高、胸径、蓄积量 ,还是白桦的高生长、直径生长、材积生长 ,都是坝上小于坝下 .其主要原因是坝上属于森林 -草原交错带 。The tree height, diameter at breast height and growing stock of Betula platyphylla forest stand are lower in the Bashang Plateau than those in the Baxia Mountain in northern Hebei Province and eastern Inner Mongolia. The height, diameter and volume increments of Betula platyphylla are lower in the Bashang as well. This is because less precipitation is occurred in the Bashang Plateau, the forest steppe ecotone, by comparing with Baxia Mountain, the forest region.
